VIRUS ALERT – BE PREPARED

I’ve come across 2 friends whose PCs have become infected with the “Anti-Virus 2010″ virus/malware THIS WEEK alone. It tried to get me through Firefox (my secondary browser), but was unsuccessful since I’m on a Mac. DEE DEE DEE! Assclowns!

“Anti-Virus 2010″ a sneaky little fucker that blocks your Internet connection and tricks you into thinking that your PC has been infected with loads of viruses in order for you to BUY some software.

BE PREPARED! YOU CAN GET INFECTED!

This is what you need to do:

  1. Get REAL anti-virus software like Symantec, Norton Anti-Virus, McAfee, or AVG. These should prevent you from getting any virus to begin with, as long has you have up-to-date virus definitions.

  2. Go to SUPERAntiSpyware.com and download their FREE and PORTABLE versions of their software. Put them in a folder on your hard drive for future use!

    * * * REMINDER * * * You will NOT be able to access the Internet if your PC gets infected!

  3. Also, please visit BleepingComputer.com for more info about Anti-Virus 2010. Search Google for more info on this latest threat. Yes it’s been around for a bit, but I think there seems to be a new variant out. (I’ve found that the software listed on this site, Malwarebyte’s Anti-Malware, works pretty good to fix this issue.)
