Well, in case you missed it, which you most likely did, a new app called Night of the Living Dead by LoL Software was released. It’s based off of the quintessential zombie film ever made, 1968′s Night of the Living Dead by the Great George A. Romero. Can you tell I’m a fan of his from using “Great” in front of his name?

This app will play the full length original version of the movie (the app is 321 MB in size). Not sure if it’s straight through or if it’s broken up into different chapters, like a DVD. The app also includes an extensive essay on the “History of Film”, current film reviews & news feed (updated regularly), and links to other LoL Software apps.

From the screenshots the app looks pretty nice. I’m sure that the video is pretty good since it appears that the movie is loaded onto your iPhone in the app. For $0.99 from the App Store it’s a bargain if you don’t already own the movie on DVD, in which case you can probably somehow put it on your iPhone anyway..
